Mercedes boss, Norbert Haug has described as "exceptional" the beginning of Paul di Resta in his debut in F1.
The Scot has impressed many in the sport after his performances in the first three races away from Europe.
"I think it's unique and remarkable what Paul has done so far," said Haug. "Being in his third race and get rate. This is very good, and very, very impressive, especially considering that failed to run hard in the second race
His comments have fueled speculation di Resta, who is well known for Haug and Mercedes while the title could DTM pilots "could change to Force India Mercedes Grand Prix next season, especially since the return of Michael Schumacher is still not exactly planned.
"If the return of Schumacher continues longer exists the possibility that he or Mercedes could decide to end their disposal at the end of the season. And di Resta would be a good choice to intervene."
